Johan Schreurs is a software developer and develops tools for computer graphics artists, to take the hassle out, so they can concentrate on artistic choices and getting the result they want. Johan's background is engineering but he also took training to become a 3D VFX artist, which he learned at Escape Studios. So, he understands how it feels to endless repeat steps with finicky tools. Johan loves using my skills to help artists get their work done in faster and easier ways. We all want to make the movie as good as we can. He has a keen interest in computer graphics and all things visual. For the most part Johan automates tasks in Maya that are error prone or repetitive, and he does general pipeline development such as tools that automatically find and save your files in the correct place, tools to deploy our internal software and to maintain the configuration of each program on different show. Sometimes he also automates things in Nuke, Mari or RV. Johan's weapons of choice are usually Python and Qt (PyQt or PySide).
